CIMA S.p.A. continues its commitment to becoming even more eco-sustainable!
In addition to the major investments already carried out in recent years:
- Replacement of asbestos roofing across all manufacturing plants with insulated panels,
- Installation of 4 photovoltaic solar power generation systems,
- Replacement of several older lighting systems with smart LED technology (“Un mondo di luce Beghelli”),
- Replacement of old diesel-fueled boilers with high-efficiency, lower-emission Robur generators,
in 2026, CIMA S.p.A. completed a major new investment program focused on:
- CORPORATE ENERGY EFFICIENCY
Description
This energy retrofitting project involves replacing existing lighting fixtures with low-consumption LED systems and installing power factor correction units.
Objectives
The objective of this intervention is to reduce the primary energy demand of the facility—especially given the current energy cost increases of over 30%—and to improve the overall energy efficiency of the operations under study.
- CONSTRUCTION OF RENEWABLE ENERGY SYSTEMS FOR SELF-CONSUMPTION
Description
This energy upgrade project involves the installation of an additional photovoltaic system (expanding on past investments) to improve the energy performance of CIMA S.p.A.’s production and office areas.
Objectives
The goal is to curb fossil fuel consumption, reducing fuel waste, procurement costs, and energy dependency.
These projects were funded through the ENERGY FUND (Fondo Energia) — part of the Emilia-Romagna Regional Multipurpose Soft-Loan Fund, PR FESR 2021–2027, established by Regional Government Resolution (Delibera di Giunta Regionale E.R.) No. 194/2023 — Application Reg. No. 311, with a total financing amount of €291,765.97 (of which €218,824.48 is funded through public resources) and a grant contribution of €10,000.00.
